Starting January 1, 2025, electronic invoicing (E-Invoice) will be introduced in Germany.
Companies will then generally be required to issue and receive electronic invoices in the B2B sector (business-to-business).
With an E-Invoice, invoice information is transmitted electronically.
Unlike paper invoices, an E-Invoice transmits invoice content in a structured, machine-readable data format.
From September 2024, the E-Invoice will be available in the current AlfaPlus 4.30 release as a new module, in the formats “ZUGFeRD”, “X-Facture”, and “X-Rechnung”.
